Today was an exciting day at Lincoln Annex! The Fairview fire truck came to visit, and our students learned all about fire safety. They were able to see the firefighters' gear up close, explore the truck and talk about ways to stay safe in an emergency.

In today's "Just Words" lesson, Mrs. Acquaviva's and Ms. Sullivan's 4th graders journeyed through the fascinating history of writing—then unleashed their creativity by designing their own names in ancient hieroglyphs!
Beverly Shepherd is our "Golden Apple" winner and we could not prouder! Ms. Shepherd has been part of our PreK team since the winter of 2023. Over the past three years she has won the respect and admiration of her colleagues. She is a teacher leader. She works well with the PreK team and building staff. Ms. Shepherd plans valuable learning experiences for her students. and they truly adore her! She comes to the school enthusiatically each morning ready to have a great day with all. The Number Three School Annex family would not be the same without her!!
Ms. Weston's class celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day by making hats, learning about the inside of an apple and enjoying an apple volcano experiment! They learned of his love for nature and planting apple trees!
Number Three School is proud to honor Bruce Roberts as our Golden Apple Staff Member of the Month for September. For 11 years, Bruce has been an important part of the Fairview Public School District, and for the past two years, he has been an asset to Number Three School as both a bus driver and custodian.
As a custodian, Bruce takes great pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, making Number Three School a place where students, staff, and families feel valued and comfortable. As a bus driver, he ensures students arrive safely and on time, greeting each child with a warm smile and kind words. His calm, reliable presence provides peace of mind for parents and makes daily commutes a positive experience for students.

Ryan Meli Wins Our Ninth "Golden Apple" !
Ryan Meli, our PE/Health teacher, is new to our district. His first day was in the fall of 2024, but you would never know it. He blends in so well with the Number Three School Annex Community. Mr. Meli is a team player. He works well with his colleagues. He helps out throughout the school without being asked...taking on any assignment. Mr. Meli has a lot of fans, students and staff alike!
This May he organized a fundraising event, the "Dunk - a - Teacher" Raffle, to provide funds for Field Day in June. The entire school gathered in our gym as a community. Each student that had their name drawn from the bucket had three chances to hit the target and get a teacher wet. The event was enjoyed by all! Ms. Moscato's 3rd and 4th grade students at #3 School worked very hard on creating their own books during library class. Ms. Moscato was so proud of the effort that was given to making these books that she decided to put together a "Book Celebration". Students dressed to impress, walked the red carpet, and were given prizes. They were so happy to show their families and classmates their beautiful books!
